Dogs or cats kept at the animal shelter more than 3 days may be adopted by anyone over the age of 18 who presents a valid driver’s license or government-issued identification. The adoption fee is $70 for cats and kittens, and $85 for dogs (includes a city license and microchip) -- with funds used to defray the City's costs for spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a health examination. Adoptable animals are posted on various social media sites.
Where to Adopt
Our animals available for adoption can be found in many places. They all appear on Adopt A Pet linked here. They also occasionally appear on the Animal Welfare Facebook page which can be found here. Of course you could always stop by the Animal Welfare Facility at 8620 W 21st St and meet some of our furry friends in person.
