Ward 4 City Councilor Nancy Riley is stepping down from her position due to family considerations. Councilor Riley brought her experience as a prior State Senator to our Council and with it a perspective that made us all better. She advocated tirelessly for her constituents and our city as a whole. The City of Sand Springs would like thank Councilor Riley for her dedicated service to our community since 2019 and will be formally recognizing her contributions at the Seating of the Council meeting in May.
The City is now accepting applications from Ward 4 residents interested in serving on the City Council. This appointment for the vacant position will be for a partial unexpired term which runs until May 2026.
Interested applicants must:
- Reside within Ward 4 (see the ward map here: https://www.sandspringsok.gov/234/City-Council)
- Submit a completed application by April 14th (application form: https://www.sandspringsok.gov/223/Boards-Committees)
Current City Council members will review and consider applicants for selection, and will make a final determination at the April 28th Council Meeting.
