Get ready for a vibrant celebration of spring as Sand Springs welcomes the 36th Annual Herbal Affair on Saturday, April 19, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the heart of downtown. Established in 1989 and widely regarded as the "Grandfather" of Oklahoma herb festivals, this beloved event is the state’s largest gathering of growers, gardeners, artisans, and plant enthusiasts.
This year’s festival will feature over 150 vendors, including exciting new plant and produce sellers alongside longtime favorites who have been part of the event since the beginning. With the festival set in The Box District—Downtown Sand Springs’ newly designated name as of December—visitors can enjoy not only the event but also explore the area's local shops and restaurants throughout the weekend.
The Herbal Affair Festival has become a cherished tradition, drawing thousands each year to celebrate nature, gardening, and community. Beyond an incredible selection of herbs, produce, and garden goods, attendees can enjoy:
- A Kids Zone and petting zoo
- Sand Springs Animal Welfare adoption area
- A variety of delicious food vendors
- Live entertainment on three stages—two more than last year!
- The Hometown Hero Award presentation
- And much more!
Admission is free! Convenient parking is available at Charles Page High School, with a shuttle service transporting guests to and from the festival grounds. Handicapped parking is also available.
